I'm pretty sick to death of the same old images I've had on the web for years (on many other sites as well). All that pigeon-holing Trent stuff, all that vampire stuff from my ancient past...

I just had to put up a new image, albeit a small file. Please pardon that, but at least this is solid (well, cyber) evidence that I've actually been exercising my ability, right? I probably draw more anime-related images than anything else, but never wanted that "fan artist" title because, I mean, I do get paid for work I create beyond that. But screw it, I've had a change of heart because I've developed immense respect for fellow fan artists, especially some I've found here in this community. I have to say, some of those artists put many "established" artists to shame. So I don't mind taking my place among them, after all, I am a fan of anime. I grew up with it, being Japanese. Pretty much in the blood.

So okay... Itachi...
It's not that he's my fave of the Naruto cast or anything (Kakashi's the man), but I had one of those random whims for an image idea. I just wanted to do a somewhat more realistic take on his face, so I started sketching in this lined writing pad that was onhand. It was one of several random sketches in that pad, but I started outlining it in pen, next I was applying a little marker color, next I'm breaking out the Prismacolor pencils, getting carried away. Anyone who knows me well knows far TOO well that as an artist, I can never do something simple. I always get carried away!

I'll upload more sketches, maybe even leave the blue note pad lines in em, at least it would be posting something new to my gallery! As for Itachi, I'll be uploading a full version of that file at some point. Hope you like it.
